Solid Wood Plank Floors
Nostalgic Wood’s T&G* solid wide-plank floors are all milled to ¾” thickness, with lengths of 2′ up to 12′ long and are suitable for most applications. All our wide plank flooring is manufactured as a high quality custom order for each client and supplied unfinished and ready for installation, sanding, and finishing onsite.
*T&G stands for Tongue & Groove, the connection type between the boards.
Reclaimed Barn Wood
We offer all our reclaimed barn woods as antique re-sawn flooring. These are milled from reclaimed original barn beams with the beams re-sawn into 1″ boards and then milled into the ¾” T&G flooring.
Pine, hemlock, and oak can also be manufactured as antique barn board flooring which is milled from the original barn floor and wall planks. The exposed top surface is gently skip-planed leaving much of the original worn surface patina with its kerf marks, nail holes, etc. This results in a richer and more rustic look to the floor.

Each of these woods have their own distinctive look (colour, grain, texture, etc). Other specialty woods may be available and are priced per project. Additionally, selecting a blend of these woods is possible for either mix installation or for variation room by room.

- Tamarack (Eastern Larch)
All four are very similar in colour, knot, and grain variations and should be examined in person in order to select the one that appeals best to you. A mix of these softwoods in a floor has wonderful results. A hemlock-tamarack blend is a special combination that we offer here at Nostalgic Wood.

Antique Reclaimed Wood Flooring Characteristics
- Kerf saw marks
- Seasoned knots and checks
- Irregular spaced nail holes and markings from past hardware applications
All of these features may be further accentuated with shaded edges and track marks created from burrowing insects. Antique wood is generally richer in colour due to the patina absorbed over years of use and due to the age of the wood when first harvested. It is important to realize that the characteristics described are merits of integrity and the very things that make antique wood flooring individual and desirable.
